Privacy statement

The MICE Operations Plan Module (hereinafter referred to as: “Module”) is the property of MICE Operations B.V., with its registered office in Breda (hereinafter referred to as: “MICE Operations”). MICE Operations, as the owner of the website in which the Module is placed, is responsible for the processing of your personal data. We inform you of what personal data we use and for what reason by means of this Privacy Statement.

 “The owner of the website”, as cited above is taken to mean the natural person or legal entity with whom you enter into a hire agreement as well as an agreement (for assignment) with regard to the provision of service for the purpose of the event planned by you. Hereinafter referred to as: “Contractor”;

The present Privacy Statement only applies to the use of the MICE Operations Operations Module, as well as to the website of the Contractor and to the MICE Operations servers. The processing of the personal data takes place in accordance with the provisions of the Personal Data Protection Act.

Reasons for the processing of personal data

The reasons why MICE Operations and the Contractor process your personal data are twofold. On the one hand it is necessary that your personal data is used in order to make the organisation of your event possible. For example, the correspondence with you and the contact person(s) of your event. On the other hand the processing of your personal data is necessary in the context of:

  • the delivery, maintenance, security and improvement of our services;

  • the protection of the rights or the ownership of MICE Operations or the users;

  • the functioning of the MICE Operations Operations Module;

  • the development of new services.

Your personal data will be (virtually entirely) processed on our servers in the Netherlands.

Scope and permission

By making use of the MICE Operations Operations Module and the services related thereto, you expressly agree to the collection, use, publication and storing by MICE Operations and the Contractor of your personal data, as described in this Privacy Statement and the general terms and conditions.

Your rights

MICE Operations and the Contractor do not provide any personal data to third parties. You can at any time request access to the data that we collect about you and to have this corrected or removed. You can send an email to this effect stating your name and address to: info@miceoperations.com

Data protection

We protect your data with the assistance of technical and administrative safety measures to reduce the risk of loss, misuse, unauthorised access, disclosure and change as much as possible. For example with firewalls, encryption of data and physical and administrative access control up to the data and servers.

Visitor data

General visitors’ data on the websites of the Contractor and MICE Operations is also updated. The objective of this is inter alia to improve the layout of the website so that MICE Operations can further optimise its provision of service.

Confidentiality

MICE Operations and the Contractor and those who have access to the personal data on the assignment from MICE Operations and the Contractor are obliged to maintain the confidentiality of the personal data that comes to their knowledge, except for insofar as they are obliged by legislation or regulations to send notifications.

Cookies

MICE Operations and the Contractor make use of 'cookies' during the offering of its electronic services. Cookies are small amounts of information that is sent by a server to the browser with the intention being that this information is sent back to the server during the following visit This information can comprise inter alia of (but not exclusively) of: IP addresses, browser type and matters such as language, date and time. 

Users of the website and the Module give, by means of their approval of the general terms and conditions of the Contractor, or as the case may be by logging into the Module, permission for the collection and use of the information provided by the user by servers of MICE Operations and the Contractor. All this also takes place with due regard to the Personal Data Protection Act. MICE Operations and the Contractor use cookies to improve the quality of the website, service and the experience of users. The use of cookies is commonplace on the internet. 

Log files

When you open the Module and/or use this through the browser application or another client, our servers will automatically save specified information. These server log files can contain data such as your web visit, your interaction with service, IP addresses, type of browser and matters such as language, date and time. 

Amendments

MICE Operations and the Contractor retain the right to unilaterally amend this Privacy Statement. Amendments or addendums to the Privacy Statement will be published here. MICE Operations and the Contractor regularly consult to check the Privacy Statement.
