Frequently asked questions about switching
Yes, switching is easy! The process starts with reviewing and adjusting the settings, such as setting up your quotation template and personalising automated messages. What’s more, you can easily import all your existing customer, supplier and event data into MICE Operations.
You can switch over effortlessly from virtually any CRM or event planning software. MICE Operations is a great alternative to Smart Event Manager, Constell, VenueSuite and other event planning software and quotation systems.
Do you have questions about your specific software package and would you like to know how MICE Operations could work as an alternative for your venue? Please feel free to contact us; we’d be happy to look into it with you and ensure a smooth transition.
Yes, there are a few things to bear in mind when making the switch:
- Make sure you don’t miss an event. It may be wise to continue using your current software temporarily during the transition to MICE Operations, so that you don’t overlook any important deadlines or events.
- Involve your team in the new process. Ensure everyone knows how the new software works, who has access to what information, and what their responsibilities are. A well-informed team ensures a smoother start.
- Export all your data. Back up all the information from your current software to prevent any important data from being lost during the switch.
We provide a template that you can easily fill in, or you can send us an export file, after which we will handle the import for you. The data we can import directly includes general event details, such as the name, event type, start date, number of guests, notes, client reference, client details and contact information.
Please note, however, that some data, such as products, packages, itineraries, venues and meeting notes, cannot be imported directly. These features are, however, available within MICE Operations and can be added manually at a later stage or – in the case of itineraries, for example – generated automatically.
